All of our coaches have been trained by the governing body of US Diving and have met the minimum standards required by the AAU (Amateur Athletic Foundation).

Mike has been involved in the competitive sport of diving since he donned his first Mike Peppy swim suit back in 1971 at the Clyde Divine Swim School in Palo Alto, Ca. He is a member of both the Amateur Athletic Foundation and U.S. Diving Association. An accomplished diver who has attended highly competitive training camps and national team programs run by many of the top National and Olympic coaches. Van Austin, Dr. Ron O'Brien, Rick Early, Billy Travis, Mike Finneran, and too many to really mention without making a list.. As a member of the U.S. High Diving Team, Mike was one of the top performers at the Six Flags Magic Mountain High Diving show in Santa Clarita. A member of four age group national teams finishing in the top 16 on all board level each year and is still in the record books for highest team points ever at a National Championship! He was also a recipient of the Diver of the Year award for the Southern Pacific Association as an age group diver and has won two California State Championships on both 1 & 3 meter. Mike continues to compete in U.S. Masters Diving and recently won the 2017 National Summer Outdoor Championships in the novice event for his age group.
Currently Mike is the head men's and woman's diving coach at College of the Canyons.
A certified PADI SCUBA Instructor and CPR instructor, Mike has been involved in above and below water-sports his entire life. Go figure he's a Pisces. He brings education, enthusiasm and experience into our program!
